Over the past two years, some of my most worn pieces in my wardrobe have come from Gap; the men’s work jacket I got last winter, the men’s white shirt I got at Christmas, the ribbed t-shirts from the Spring, and my black crew neck knit. And now I have some jeans to add to the list. I have had denim from Gap before, but as I have said in previous posts, I have always felt their denim has always been on the shorter side - making them great for Summer with sandals, but less great in the Winter with boots. The Sky High Straight Leg Jean is the new style from Gap that is ticking all the boxes. High rise, straight leg, long in the leg, and the perfect wash (it comes in different washes too, but this was my favourite). I went for a W26 - I found the sizing comes up a little large, so if you’re between sizes, go one down. But, the 26 was perfect for me because it didn’t pull at all over the hips - I am wearing a belt with them here, but that was decorative rather than functional!

I have been wearing them a lot, and had to wash them already because I got pasta sauce on them (honestly, what a state!!) but they have washed really well too. Normally I wash my jeans as little as possible, but the pasta mis-hap got in the way of those plans.

I styled them here with a knit from Gap too - a chunky cardigan (I am wearing a large for an oversized fit), styled with nothing underneath which is one of my favourite looks for Autumn. My trusty Gucci loafers and socks, and my navy blue old Celine bag.
