So as I mentioned I spent a long weekend in Paris a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot longer than I would normally spend there, and it gave me a new appreciation for the city. I was there for the first night with Lipault to celebrate their new collaboration with Jean Paul Gautier. You can see the full luggage range here. I thought I would share what we got up to, and the spots we visited, along with some other recommendations I have picked up during my time Paris. It’s amazing to get to visit Paris with Parisian brands who really know how to show you around, which has inspired this post with a small number of really strong recommendations.
My biggest recommendation, as with all cities, is to walk if you can. Of course Paris is very much known for it’s beautiful streets, so the best way to make the most of them would be to walk around as much as possible! We did a little cafe/bar crawl one afternoon which was an amazing way to see the city and get a bit boozy along the way. It would be just as good to do that and get a bit overly caffeinated and make the most of the Parisian café culture too.
Whenever I am in Paris I stay at the Hoxton which is amazing and I can’t recommend enough. The Lipault team took us to a gorgeous spot just around the corner from the Hoxton for dinner, called Hotel des Grandes Boulevard for dinner and it was amazing, and the hotel looked gorgeous too! Definitely something I will bare in mind for my next trip.
Another incredible spot for dinner was Anahi. This was one the best meals I have ever ever had in Paris and I will 100% make a return visit. It’s super small and cosy inside, and the food is just incredible. Leaves you feeling full but not really heavy and lethargic, and was just the perfect setting for a Parisian evening.
For a lovely little concept store that does great coffee and sweet treats try O/HP/E. They have gorgeous homeware pieces too, basically a lovely little place to stop off while you’re doing all the walking I just told you to do!
Make sure you visit the Frankie Shop in the Marais for the best vintage finds. The Marais also has the nicest Uniqlo I have ever been to, and an incredible shop called Tom Greyhound (right opposite Lemaire too, it’s a dangerous corner for your bank account) where I got some amazing jeans.
All in all, huge thank you to Lipault for a gorgeous trip. I am actually just about to go and pack up one of my Lipault x JPG cases for the next trip I am taking, and I really do recommend the luggage - it has this amazing corset detailing inside for the fastening which I thought was a very impressive detail! Lipault have also opened up four new boutiques across London (South Molton Street, Marylebone, Hampstead and Kingston) where you can go and buy this collection, but for a limited time only guys!
